basic info

Declared a Cultural Heritage Site in the Monument category in 1982, it represents a clear commitment to the combination of culture, well-being, art, history, gastronomy, and relaxation. The palace is an old ancestral home, characterized by its adobe construction, large courtyards, and entire limestone moldings covered with lime mortar. All the original features of the house have been preserved thanks to valuable restoration work, so it still retains elements of great value for understanding the historical past of the city of Córdoba. Its art collection is one of the most beautiful peculiarities of the palace, setting it apart from other establishments. In the hotel, you will find the remains of an impressive Domus, which you can admire beneath the restaurant, as well as interior Roman baths.

About Hotel Hospes Palacio del Bailío

Hotel Description

In Hospes Palacio del Bailío, every room is a dream. Exquisite luxury is displayed in its decoration; the textures of the headboards, hand-painted stuccos; the light and warmth; all reminiscent of the grandeur of the 10th-century city. The rooms and corridors on the first and second floors guard elements of its past: ribbed vaults, double columns supporting the arches of the corridor, pediments supported on columns whose capitals are Ionic reminiscences of the 19th century.
